    With every job, a detailed schematic is the start.  A schematic that is drawn by someone that has actually had to use them to troubleshoot.  A poorly laid out schematic can cause hours of frustration if it is not drawn out with the serviceman in mind - just one of Cygnus-X1's advantages.

         The actual Printed Circuit Board, for the most part, is laid out by hand.  This assures optimal trace layout, preventing traces jumping needlessly up and down layers to jog around other signals (some poor auto-routing software causes this and makes a butchery of your design).  The market we tailor to is 1 to 4 layers.  Again, your design will be thoughtfully laid out by a company that also has a background in service, so test points and status LED's are abundant.

   Once the bare board has been completed, the prototype board is then hand assembled buy someone with over 20 plus years soldering - 10 plus years with surface mount.  With Cygnus-X1 Electronics, you have both commercial and military experience backgrounds.  We also provide low quantity board assembly by itself - please contact us for a quote.  

   Once the board is built, we provide all the programming, test and debug for the board.  Programming includes C-code or PIC Basic for Microchip micro-processors and Graphic and/or AHDL for Altera CPLD and FPGA logic devices. All operational aspects of the board are tested, code or logic debugged, and I/O verified to your specifications.
