These clips are not to be sold for profit! They
were obtained off
of used Sony U-Matic tapes that were given to Dearborn High School's (MI) video production
studio from Ford Motor Company in
1987 to be used for general purpose recording. One fellow enthusiast
is responsible for letting the rest of us enjoy these clips, Jeff R. Alexander
(1970-1988).
He was my fellow classmate and my best friend. He
was the one who sat down for hours at the tape machine reviewing the used U-Matic tapes in
search of any Mustang footage when he stumbled on to quite a find. These
commercials are a testament to one of Ford's most intriguing Mustangs
ever made. I would like to dedicate these SVO clips to him.
Share them freely with other SVO enthusiast
and/or owners like
myself. Yes, the SVO by today's standards would seem normal, but
when it was first released in '84, it was a dream... And for any owners out there, you
understand it's attraction. Like no other Mustang I've ever driven, it handles and
accelerates with a precision and smoothness that sets it apart, not to mention it is a
sheer work of art!
